GAINESVILLE, Fla. The Cade Museum held an opening celebration with food trucks while volunteers shared what the museum has to offer with the guests.
The museum is named after Dr. James Robert Cade who was the inventor of the sports drink we all know as Gatorade.
The executive director, Stephanie Bailes, hopes the museum can inspire more innovation within the community.
“It's an opportunity for the citizens of Gainesville to come and learn about science through the lens of invention,” Bailes said.
The museum will be open from 10 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesdays through Saturdays and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays and Sundays.
