Candidates for city elections in Hawthorne finalized

HAWTHORNE, Fla. (WCJB) -- Monday was the last day for candidates to put in their paperwork to qualify for upcoming elections in the city of Hawthorne.

The only race residents will vote on is for City Commission Seat 3.

The candidates for that position are incumbent Jimmy Floyd Sr. as well as Jacquelyn Randall.

Mayor Matt Surrency and Vice Mayor Tommy Howard are both running unopposed.

The election will be held on June 11th from 7am to 7pm at the Hawthorne Community Center.
