Child Advocacy Center working to end child abuse in Alachua County

The Child Advocacy Center in Gainesville is working to end the cycle of child abuse in Alachua County.
The center provides a safe and supportive place for neglected and abused children of all ages.
The CAC also provides a number of services for abused children, such as forensic interviews, case management, victim advocacy, and therapy to help them overcome trauma.
According to the CAC, over 4,000 cases of child abuse are reported every year in Alachua County.
The center helped more than 1,500 local children in 2018.
