Columbia County detectives seeking help with old case

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WCJB) — Detectives with the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office are seeking help solving a cold case from 2016.

In a Facebook post, CCSO said on June 21 2016 they responded to a home near 300 SW Tommy Lites Street where a man was shot.

The victim was sleeping in his home when his doorbell rang and saw a white man outside wearing a yellow safety vest and holding a box with Amazon packing tape on it. When the victim answered the door, the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the victim multiple times then left.

The victim suffered injuries to his head and body, but survived.

The suspect was described as a white man in his 30's to 40’s, between 5’6” and 5’9” and weighed about 160 pounds with short hair. The suspect hasn’t been identified and CCSO is asking for help.
