The investigation into a high school teacher who faced bullying accusations has now ended, according to Superintendent Alex Carswell.

A high school teacher in Columbia County is on voluntary leave due to bullying accusations.

Superintendant Lex Carswell said Shelli Shoup is on leave and will also be stepping down from her role as cross country coach.

Shoup is being investigated after accusations of bullying surfaced at a school board meeting in October.

Shoup has asked to be reassigned to a position in the county's online education platform.

The internal investigation is expected to wrap up Friday.
