Convicted felon arrested for Gardenia Gardens home invasion

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) -- Gainesville Police said officers arrested a convicted felon for breaking into a home and demanding money from the resident.

According to GPD, Steve Stacy Junior broke into the home at Gardenia Gardens Monday morning.

Stacy Jr. threatened the resident with a gun and demanded money.

The pair then went outside. Stacy tried to hit the resident with the gun before leaving.

GPD officers later arrested Stacy at his home on NE 18th St.

According to GPD, Stacy told officers that the resident of the apartment owed him money.

Stacy Jr. faces charges of home invasion robbery, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
