Damage to crops by Hurricane Dorian minimal, says UF/IFAS
Farmers in North Central Florida and the rest of the state are celebrating the fact that Hurricane Dorian all but missed us.
Damage done by the storm to Florida crops appears to be minimal, according to the University of Florida's Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences or UF/IFAS.
Although some coastal counties like Duval haven't reported in yet, researchers say the worst Dorian did is minor damage to grapefruit crops along the Treasure Coast.
Researchers say they expect to receive more updates in the coming days.
