MELROSE, Fla. (WCJB) -- A crash in Melrose late Tuesday night has left one dead and two injured.

Florida Highway Patrol says 41-year-old Drew Blair was travelling south on County Road 219 with 25-year-old Zachariah Strawder and his five-year-old daughter Lacy when the car ran off the roadway and into the grass.

Officials say Blair then over-corrected, causing the vehicle to spin out of control and crash into a tree before coming to a rest.

Blair died during the accident and Zachariah and Lacy Strawder were taken to UF Health Shands in Gainesville following the crash.

Zachariah suffered serious injuries, while Lacy only had minor injuries.
