Florida's evolving education standards could change in North Central Florida next week.
On Wednesday, The Department of Education announced a "Listening Tour" of 10 stops around the state to get input on standards.
After eliminating the Common Core standards in January, the governor directed state education officials to hammer out recommended revisions by the end of the year.
An Alachua County meeting will be held next Thursday at the school district office on University Avenue from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
