Deputy Shaq reporting for duty, now part of Broward Sheriff’s Office

BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. (WCJB)-- From the courts and now to the streets, Shaquille O’Neal is taking on a new role as a Broward County Deputy.

The Sheriff’s Office announced the big news through Twitter.

The 47-year-old former NBA star was announced Friday as the agency’s new auxiliary deputy for the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

O’Neal has also served as a reserve officer for other police departments, including Miami Beach Police, Doral Police, and Golden Beach Police.
