Disney to pay for employees masters programs at UF CJC

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Disney is looking to help out their employees who have a passion for journalism.

UF's College of Journalism and Communications has partnered with Disney on an online master's program.

Disney will pay full tuition, including textbooks and course material, for eligible employees who pursue an online master's degree from UF.

College Dean Diane McFarlin says that this program is a testament to the strength of UF's online programs.

"Disney is known for having great employee development programs, that is one of the major perks, to be able to benefit from one of those programs and the fact that they selected us is a great affirmation of what we are doing," McFarlin said.

The school just hired a new director, Evan Kropp, from Southern New Hampshire University, to lead the program.
