Dog attack confirmed in Alachua County

A dog attack has been confirmed in Alachua County.
Alachua County Animal Services Director Ed Williams confirms the attack happened Sunday night at the corner of 62nd Place and NW 23rd Terrace near the Northwood Village Shopping Center.
The victim told TV20 her arm was bitten and that she had to put her dog down after it was critically injured in the attack.
The dog responsible for the attack is in Alachua County Animal Services' custody at this time.
The incident is currently under investigation.
