A 29-year-old man died Saturday after the Florida Highway Patrol says his SUV rolled over and he was thrown from the vehicle.
The crash happened just before 7:00 p.m. on Northeast 203rd Avenue near Nation Forest 75-1.
Troopers said Stephen Sevick, of Fort McCoy, was driving north when, for unknown reasons, he veered off the roadway. His Ford SUV subsequently rolled over.
Both Sevick and his passenger, 34-year-old Kevin Libby, were thrown from the vehicle. Sevick died on scene but Libby was rushed to Ocala Regional Medical Center where he was listed in serious condition.
FHP said neither man was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The FHP report lists alcohol as a factor in the wreck.
