GAINESVILLE, Fl. -- (WCJB) Traffic on Archer road will be impeded, due to an FDOT project between Southwest 46Th Boulevard and Southwest 40th Boulevard.

The over 7-million dollar project starts this Wednesday and won't be completed until spring of next year.

The goal is to widen the road and reconfigure the ramps leading to I-75. The project also includes new traffic and street lights.

Much of the work will take place after 11 p.m. and before 5 a.m. to limit the impact on drivers.
