Ahead of father's day, we are featuring a special father-daughter duo from Belleview.

Two-year-old Riley Belcher and her father Collin are using their bond to bring awareness to Down syndrome.

After having their first daughter Olivia, the belchers were prepared for parenthood, but they both say they didn't expect for Riley to be born with Down syndrome.

Praying for progress and guidance, the Belcher family joined several organizations for children's with special needs.

"I decided I wanted to look into some other ways to be involved so I decided to go and volunteer with Special Olympics and then that lead to me becoming the head coach for Marion County track and field," said Colin Belcher.

As he watches other children with disabilities thrive in sports, he gets to see his own daughter succeed in the Special Olympics Young Athlete program.

You can vote for the Belchers in this Facebook photo contest to help raise money for their Down syndrome walking team.
