It took a collaborative effort from three fire stations to extinguish a fire this morning in north central Florida.

Firefighters are working together to investigate what caused five abandoned mobile homes to catch fire.

Firefighters from Alachua County, Melrose, and Windsor fire departments worked for nearly an hour to get the fires under control in Melrose.

The new technology of Alachua County’s drone team is helping the department to quickly evaluate the size and scope of a fire and find hidden hotspots.

The state fire marshal will take over the investigation.

No injuries were reported.
