GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Senior Day celebrations are taking place in North-Central Florida the celebrations in the area come a week before the statewide events.
The Absolute Law Group will be hosting the" 2nd Annual Ocala's Senior Day Celebration" on Tuesday. The law group's "jazz-themed senior day extravaganza" will feature "local senior communities, health resources, both local and state dignitaries"
Next Wednesday, January 29th, at the Florida capital the Florida Department of Elder Affairs and United Way of Florida are hosting a statewide celebration.
According to the Florida Senior Day website, more than 90 statewide partners worked together to put on the celebration at the Capital. Some of the activities for the event next week include tours of the Capitol, musical performances by seniors, as well as a special senior day breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Tuesday's event will take place today from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm at the circle square cultural center. Registration for the event is required, but attendance is free. To find out more information about this event click here.
