Florida has plenty of senior residents, but UF Health researchers were surprised to find out how many of them are maintaining their health in their old age.

An ongoing study found the state has an unusually high number of quote "super-agers,” or people over the age of 90 who do not suffer from Alzheimer's or dementia and can live independently.

Researchers are now looking for 500 super-agers in Alachua and Duval counties to see what makes them age so gracefully.
