GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB)- The South Florida group, Friendship Circle, sent an email to the Alachua County Board of Commissioners saying they are longer interested in buying the property formerly known as Camp McConnell.

In an email sent to the County Commission on October 3, Rabbi Zalman Fellig told commissioners that, "...after extensive research into what the Camp truly needs for us to make it work, we do not see it as a fit."

Mark Sexton, Communications & Legislative Affairs Director with the county says that the topic of what to do with the property will be back on the County Commission agenda on December 10.
