GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) -
Gainesville Fire Rescue and Alachua County Fire Rescue responded to a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon that caused severe damage to both vehicles and required one driver to be rescued.
At 2:02 pm, multiple calls began to come in reporting the wreck at the intersection of U.S. 441 and Northwest 43rd Street in Gainesville. Several units responded to the crash minutes later.
The driver who was stuck inside their vehicle was safely removed by first-responders and transported to a local hospital along with the other driver within 20 minutes of the initial call.
The two drivers are in stable condition.
