GPD: Man stabs Grace Marketplace staff member

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) — Gainesville Police arrested a man after they say he stabbed a staff member at Grace Marketplace on Monday.

According to an arrest report, police say that 37-year-old Antwaun Lee accused a staff member of taking some of his belongings and stabbed him twice, leaving wounds that were approximately 1-3 inches deep.

Police treated the man when they arrived and he was taken to UF Health Shands. The man told police that he didn't take anything and was only moving Lee's belongings.

When questioned by police, Lee said: "he stole something from me, I stabbed him."

Lee was arrested and is charged with attempted murder. He is in the Alachua County Jail on a $150,000 bond.
