GRACE Pharmacy marks one year being open

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB)-- Its been a year since a pharmacy opened its doors to provide medication to low-income patients.

GRACE Pharmacy was created in October 2017 to supply medication at no charge to qualifying patients who have no insurance or other means of payment.

The pharmacy is staffed by volunteer pharmacists and provide medication counseling and screenings to patients.

GRACE Pharmacy manager Tim Rogers enjoys helping the patients with their needs.

"I think it will be such a great place if everybody was out there helping their fellow man," Rogers said. “Most medications that cost a lot of money we don’t carry because of the cost but hopefully the medications we do carry will be enough to help people through their diseases and their physical disabilities.”

The pharmacy is open Tuesday through Friday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday at 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at GRACE Marketplace.
