Gainesville Police arrest man after hidden cameras were discovered in shared bathroom

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) -- Gainesville Police arrested Howard Louis Anderson, 39, after a hidden camera was discovered in a shared bathroom.

In August, one victim found the hidden camera in the residence's shared bathroom and turned its memory card into police.

According to the arrest report, GPD served a search warrant and found three cameras hidden in an alarm clock, radio, and smoke alarm as well as many digital storage devices.

One storage device memory card contained approximately 600 videos of the residence bathroom. The videos showed Anderson and four victims in various states of undress using the toilet and shower including one who was 17 and two children under 11-years-old at the time.

According to the arrest report, police are trying to contact the other victims in the videos who have been identified.

Anderson is charged with video voyeurism, he has been booked into the Alachua County Jail on more than $300,000 bond.
