GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB)-- A 56-year-old resident of Gainesville is in jail Wednesday after police say he and his sister got into an argument that turned physical.
Gainesville Police say Gregory Eastman was arguing with his sister at their home on NW 38th dr.
The arrest report shows the sister tried to stop Eastman from driving because he was drunk. She said Eastman was upset about a family situation and was going to drive to Tallahassee and scare the people involved in the family dispute.
Eastman is accused of choking his sister and putting a gun to her head.
She was able to get away, and Eastman surrendered to police.
He is in the Alachua County Jail on charges of domestic battery and aggravated assault. He will make first appearance in court Thursday morning.
