MICANOPY, Fla. (WCJB)- A Gainesville man has been arrested after deputies say he threatened another man with what appeared to be a flare gun at Circle K.

According to the Alachua County Sheriffs Office arrest report, 40-year-old Stephen Troy had previously stolen a truck from the victim. The white Ford truck was reported stolen on August 11th.

The two men met at the gas station so Troy could return the vehicle to the owner, along with nearly $2000 worth of Stihl lawn tools that were in the bed of the stolen truck. The tools were not returned.

The two men got into a verbal argument, which ended when Troy reached into his pocket and pulled out an orange gun that appeared to be a flare gun.
