GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB)-- Two women were arrested Saturday after police said they were caught stealing make-up and clothing from the JCPenney at the Oaks Mall in Gainesville, according to arrest reports.

Investigators said 22-year-old Ashley Espinoza-Sanchez and 22-year-old Michaela Alleen Talaga entered the store just after 4 p.m.

Espinoza-Sanchez walked over to the cosmetic products and put several into her bag, detectives said.

At the same time, Talaga picked out two shirts, went to the dressing room, and put them into her bag, the arrest report reads.

The two then exited the store where they were confronted by mall security. Both were taken into custody, accused of taking $300.02 in goods from the store.

Talaga’s mugshot was not available.
