Gainesville road closures for UF first home football game

The streets of Gainesville are about to get more crowded. Gator football is back this Saturday with the first home game of the season.
For the third year, the city is closing several blocks of University Avenue to traffic for all Gator home games.
The street closures will run from NW 17th St. to NW 19th St.
Traffic will be diverted off of the avenue on the east end of NW 13th St. and the northwest end of 22nd St.
Expect for local traffic on Saturday,
The closure begins 3 hours before kickoff and ends 2 hours after the game ends.
