Gainesville woman arrested after stabbing co-worker in the neck
A woman is recovering from her injuries in the hospital after her coworker tried to kill her with a fishing knife.
Gainesville police say 40-year-old Linda Williams, who works at a law firm, was waiting for her co-worker when she took the victim to a secluded office.
That's when Williams stabbed the victim in the neck with a fishing knife. Police say Williams was upset about an accounting mistake.
The victim was taken to UF Health. Williams is charged with attempted murder. She is being held in the Alachua County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
