Gator fans take to the streets of Gainesville for football game against FSU

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – A sea of orange and blue and garnet and gold took over University Avenue for the Gators' battle against the Seminoles Saturday evening.

Hoping for a signature win in this year's rivalry game, the fans came out bright and early to get in the spirit.

Bill Hatfield, a homemade gator jewelry vendor, said he wasn't nervous about the game.

"There's a lot of traffic considering the game isn't for another six hours, a little light on FSU, which is fine their color coordination is terrible, no orange and blue at all in it," Hatfield said. "But there's been a fair amount of very cheerful gator fans out today."
