TRENTON, Fla. (WCJB) -- With millions of dollars coming in from the state, the Gilchrist County School District has plans to begin a new project.

The $16 million Trenton High School special facility project will consist of the construction of a cafetorium, a room to be used as both a cafeteria and auditorium. The state’s contributing $7.2 million of those funds and an additional $2 million was saved from last year.

Still short of the $16 million mark the district plans to seek more funding next year. Superintendent Rob Rankin said a groundbreaking is in the works.
