JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) — Youth programs are back for kids across the state-- so long as local governments decide to reopen.
Florida is lifting all restrictions on youth activities, including summer camps and athletics.
Governor DeSantis says the health department will not be giving guidelines on how these activities should be structured.
"At the end of the day we trust parents to be able to make decisions, in conjunction with physicians, and community leaders and coaches to be able to do these activities in a way that is safe. " DeSantis said.
Officials with Alachua County Public Schools say they are waiting for the governor's executive order before making any changes to graduation ceremonies, summer programs, and other activities.
