Green Dot Gainesville works to reduce violence

People with one organization in Gainesville are teaching people how to look out for dangerous situations and address them safely.
Green Dot Gainesville held a bystander training seminar to teach residents how to speak up and help out when it comes to dangerous encounters.

Around twenty-five participants spent the day learning how to help reduce violence in their communities.

The training included lectures, reflections, and group activities.
Organizer, Pamela Koons says she hopes to have at least one hundred residents trained by the end of 2019.
