HITS Inc. consolidating, changes coming to Ocala location

MARION COUNTY, Fla. (WCJB)-- HITS Ocala is working to be bigger and better this year.

With facilities all over the country, HITS Inc. likes to believe they provide the nation's best hunter and jumper horse shows.

With 500 acres, 900 permanent stalls and 12 show rings, HITS Ocala seems pretty impressive but according to the President and CEO of the company, there's still more he wants to add.

The special events management company is consolidating in the process.

"We have elected to sell and have finished and foreclosed on the sale for our property in California and our horse shows in Arizona,” said President and CEO of HITS, Tom Struzzieri.

The company has focused on hunter and jumper horse shows since the 1980s and now will be putting all of their efforts into their Ocala location.

"Now we're able to bring our entire team and all of our resources to bear to see how well we can do the Ocala circuit if al of us were in the same place for the first time ever,” he said.

Struzzieri said participants can expect a prize money upgrade and improvements to the grounds.

"The major change will be staffing,  you know bringing in my best people from the west coast and bringing them all to Florida and you know creature comforts to make the clients happier, food service, the layout, things of that nature,” Struzzieri added.

HITS Ocala will start hosting horse shows again in December.
