High Springs Fire Department receives new license for seamless care

HIGH SPRINGS, Fla. (WCJB) – The High Springs Fire Department has reached a new and improved level of care for its residents.

With the help of Alachua County Fire Rescue, the city of High Springs has received its Advanced Life Support Service License from the State Department of Health.

Both agencies will now use the same protocols so as to provide seamless care throughout the county.

Now HSFD paramedics can administer life-saving drugs while in the field.

HSFD will host a brief celebration at the High Springs Fire Department at 18586 N.W. 238th Street on Wednesday, Dec. 4, at 10 a.m.
