Human Foosball Tournament in Gainesville to benefit Xtraordinary Joy

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - The Xtraordinary Joy Human Foosball Tournament will be held on Sunday, April 28 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church.

"You might see foosball in a bar, dorm, something like that. So this game is inspired by that, and it's a life-size version of it," said Dan Dias. "People go in there, and they just go at it."

This is the tournament's fourth year, and each year the event raises about $10,000 for Xtraordinary Joy, which funds research for rare chromosomal disorders.

"Just getting the information out there is very important," said Amy Meacham. "We're finding more families in Alachua County that have rare chromosomal disorders."
