ALACHUA, Fla. (WCJB) - The Humane Society of North Central Florida hosted its 4th annual Woofstock event at the Santa Fe River Ranch in Alachua Thursday night.
The event included a silent auction and performances by local band Whiskey Jones.
It was all to support the Humane Society and its mission to end the unnecessary euthanasia of healthy and treatable pets in North Central Florida.
“We pull animals from county shelters from 11 different counties into our shelter, where they’re guaranteed an adoption," said Margot DeConna, director of development at the Humane Society of North Central Florida. "We also offer lots of services to the community, like our low-cost spay and neuter clinic, low-cost wellness clinic, our thrift store, our pet food bank, the list goes on. We’re here to support pets and the people who love them.”
