City of Gainesville to celebrate completion of J.J. Finley Park

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – The public is invited to the J.J. Finley Park ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate its completion.

The City of Gainesville Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department, along with the "Wild Spaces and Public Places" program will host the ceremony this afternoon at 1:30 p.m. on Northwest 5th Avenue.

Improvements to the park include a new playground, picnic tables and striped basketball courts.

The improvement project is estimated to have cost $276,000.
