After many starts and stops, Lake City's city council is considering a new plan for a new city hall. And it won't come cheap.
City leaders say the current city hall is in poor condition, but several proposals to replace it have fallen through.
On Monday, council members will vote on the first reading of a plan to float a $9,500,000 bond.
$4,000,000 would pay to build a new city hall and $1,700,000 would pay for a new fire station. The remaining $3,800,000 would retire existing debt.
The meeting starts at 6:00 p.m. at the current Lake City City Hall.
