BRONSON, Fla. (WCJB)- The Levy County Supervisor of Elections is looking for bilingual poll workers for the upcoming election cycle.
A federal court order is requiring supervisors of elections to provide election materials in Spanish and have at least one bilingual poll worker at every voting location.
"We're happy to do so to provide assistance to those people that were from Puerto Rico that were educated in Spanish-only schools so that way it gives them the ability to vote comfortably and feel confident about their vote," Supervisor of Elections Tammy Jones said.
To be eligible, the volunteer must be a US citizen and be registered to vote in the county.
Anyone interested in applying to be a poll worker can find the application attached to this article.
