LEVY COUNTY, Fla. (WCJB)-- A missing Levy County man was found safe in Palatka, his family members tell TV20 News.
On March 14th, 21-year-old Dakota Perry Ballard was initially reported missing by his parents, who said they hadn’t heard from Ballard since February 26th.
Detectives spoke with Ballard’s roommate who said Ballard borrowed his tools the night of March 1st to work on his girlfriend’s mother’s vehicle. The roommate said Ballard was picked up by an unknown person, driving a newer model white vehicle, from their home on Northeast 143rd Avenue in Williston.
Ballard’s employer told investigators Ballard picked up his check on March 1st but has not returned for his most recent one.
While it's unclear why Ballard was in Palatka, his mother told TV20 she spoke to her son and he is safe.
