OCALA, Fla. (WCJB)-- Lockheed Martin is trying to inspire students in Marion County.

Thursday night, they held their second annual "Stemcon" event at the College of Central Florida.

Sixth, seventh, and eighth graders participated in the event, where they had to calculate their way out of an escape room, operate robots, and make their own homemade speakers, among other activities.

The purpose is to inspire interest in the science, technology, engineering, and math fields.

Perhaps with the goal of working for Lockheed Martin or another tech company.
