MCSO: Ocala man arrested for first degree murder

OCALA, Fla. (WCJB)-- According to Marion County deputies on December 6, 2018, Bo Pete Jeffrey, 55, was arrested by the Putnam County Sheriff's office in reference to a Marion County Sheriff's Office warrant for the murder of his estranged wife, Lisa Jeffrey, 48. Bo Pete Jeffrey will be brought back to Marion County to face the charge of First Degree Murder.

On November 27, 2018, Marion County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Holiday Trav-L-Park RV Resort on West Silver Springs Blvd in Ocala in reference to Lisa Jeffrey being missing. During the investigation, MCSO detectives talked with Patience Burton, 47, who was not truthful in her statements of information on her knowledge of Bo Pete Jeffrey and Lisa Jeffrey.

She was arrested for Providing False Information to Law Enforcement and is currently being held at the Marion County Jail on no bond. Detectives were able to obtain a search warrant for Lisa and Bo Pete Jeffrey’s residence where they ultimately located Lisa dead. After interviewing Bo Pete Jeffrey, detectives were able to obtain a warrant for his arrest.
