Man acquitted in Shootout at The Rose Food Store last March

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) -- One of the suspects involved in a shootout at The Rose Food Store in Gainesville last March has been acquitted.

35-year-old Artavis Mallary was arrested last April on charges of attempted murder and aggravated assault with a firearm.

Police say he and two other men got into a fight on March 31st, in the store's parking lot. Firing multiple shots and using a car with two people inside as cover.

No one was hurt. John Willis is still facing charges of attempted murder and aggravated battery.

Quinten Golston has plead no contest to possession of a firearm by a felon and was sentenced to 3 years in prison.
