Marion County Sheriff on Florida's Attorney General-elect's transition committee

MARION COUNTY, Fla. (WCJB) - Attorney General-elect, Ashley Moody, has announced her transition advisory committee. Marion County sheriff, Billy Woods, will be a part of her transition advisory committee.

The committee will focus on advising and gathering information on Moody's priorities as attorney general.

Those include the opioid epidemic, law enforcement, and mental health. All committee members have been asked to take an ethics pledge that includes a one year prohibition on lobbying the office of the Attorney General.
