Director of Matheson History Museum to step down in April

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) -- The Matheson History Museum has announced that the current Museum Director Peggy Macdonald will be stepping down in April.

Museum representatives say that she will be stepping down to help with her mother's law practice, as well as focus on her work at Stetson University.

Macdonald will remain an active member of the Alachua County Historical Commission.

She will also continue writing for several local magazines and will act as a speaker with the Florida Humanities Council.
