Millhopper Montessori School creates Tower Challenge for students
Millhopper Montessori School created a Tower Challenge to help students with their engineering design process.
Students in the first through eighth grade participated in the challenge where there were given 45 minutes in total to complete building a tower.
Within that timeframe, they were asked Math, English, and History questions.
8th-grade student, Madhumati Mirel, learned tips during the challenge to help her in graphic design.
“It taught me the steps to do it because you need to draw a sketch first and then come up with a plan then revise what you have done to make it bettering then come out with your finishing product,” Mirel said.
Certificates were given to the winner of each grade. Next year, the school will focus on the performing arts.
