GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) -- The latest report card is mixed for hospital safety in North Central Florida. Hospital quality and safety non-profit "The Leapfrog Group" is grading hospital safety.
Lake City Medical Center is the only facility to earn an "A" grade.
North Florida and West Marion earned a "B", but grades went down from there.
Problems with MRSA infections earned Ocala Regional Medical Center a "C" and Adventhealth Ocala a "D."
UF Health Shands' "C" grade was largely due to problems with their best practices to prevent errors.
