ALACHUA, Fla. (WCJB)-- An Alachua County mother is accused of chasing down another mother with her car after a fight between their children.

Deputies say the victim confronted Lakesha Jackson's children, off-campus, about a fight that happened at school, earlier in the day, on Friday.

The two mothers had an altercation where Jackson alleges the victim attacked her then left the scene.

The 35-year-old drove to the school and confronted the victim. Investigators say the victim drove off but Jackson followed, eventually blocking the victim's car.

They say Jackson's children got out of her car wielding a bat. Then they opened the driver's door and attacked the victim and the victim's child.

The victim then jumped a curb to get around Jackson's car and fled the scene.

Jackson was identified by witnesses called police as the scene unfolded and recorded her license plate. She was arrested on charges of aggravated assault and child neglect, among others.
