WASHINGTON, D.C. (WCJB)-- A North Central Florida student competing in the Scripps National Spelling Bee competition is going home.
Isa Vora is a student at Meadowbrook Elementary School. He made it to the third round of the competition before being eliminated.
He was eliminated on the word "chaplinesque" which according to dictionary.com means characteristic of or resembling the comedy or filmmaking style of Charlie Chaplin.
TV20 Washington correspondent Alana Austin spoke with Isa after the loss, and he says his sights are now on next year.
