NFRMC holds 29th Annual Pond Lighting

GAINESVILLE, Fla., (WCJB) -- The 29th Annual Pond Lighting event will take place tomorrow at North Florida regional medical center in Gainesville.

The fun begins Saturday at 5 o'clock and will include live music and dance, hot chocolate and cookies, pictures with Santa, and a real snow sledding hill. You are encouraged to bring unwrapped toys to donate with the event benefiting Toys for Tots.

"If you bring an unwrapped toy to the event we'll provide you with a VIP pass which will allow you to go to the snow hill as well as our carriage ride. You'll be able to get into the lines faster," said John Gerhold, NFRMC Chief Operating Officer. "We take all of the toys that are provided and have the local marine corp go out and give it to families in need. It's been a really good event."

And a special guest will be there to turn on the lights around six o'clock Saturday night, so don't be late.
